About Thunder Busters

A home base for Curious Builders and Bold Thinkers.

Thunder Busters is a student-driven FTC team where hands-on learning, mentorship, and friendly competition come together to build more than robots.

Thunder Busters is a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team based in Mechanicsburg, PA, created to give local middle and high school students a space to experience real engineering through the excitement of competition robotics.

The team competes primarily in FTC, where alliances of robots score points in a new game each season. Students lead everything from strategy and design to programming and outreach.

Adult mentors and coaches guide the process, but students make the decisions, own the work, and present the team's story to judges at events.

Over the course of a season, students discover not only how to build high-performing robots but also how to communicate, lead, and support each other under pressure.
